The values returned for the columns in this view are similar to backup status presented by the BRMS Enterprise services in the Navigator for i. This view is based on the content for the Backup Control Group Status Report.

The following table describes the columns in the view. The system name is CG_STATUS. The schema is QUSRBRM.

When using QUSRBRM.CG_BACKUP_STATUS the records change:

  • Records with a SAVE_STATUS of COMPLETE or INCOMPLETE are removed one year after the backup history expires, even if the media has been reused.

  • Records with a SAVE_STATUS of ACTIVE are changed to FAILED if the job no longer exists.

  • Records with a SAVE_STATUS of FAILED or CANCELLED are removed after 30 days.

  • UNKNOWN      The current state of the backup is unknown.  This can occur while QUSRBRM is being saved or if an older level of QUSRBRM is restored.
