Deleting Media Policies, Media Classes and Storage Locations

When trying to delete BRMS Media Policies, BRMS Media Classes or BRMS Storage Locations, BRMS will verify that the item the user is deleting is not referenced by a control group , System Policy,  Backup Policy, Migration Policy etc.  If it is being referenced, BRMS will post a message indicating the item cannot be deleted for the specified reason.

However, if the system is in a BRMS network, BRMS will not verify that the item is being referenced by a control group , System Policy,  Backup Policy or Migration Policy on any other system in the BRMS network. The item will be deleted and BRMS functions on other systems in the BRMS network may fail.

Before deleting Media Policies, Media Classes or Storage Locations, verify that they are not being used on any system in the network
