Using BRMS with DB2 Mirror

Using BRMS with DB2 Mirror

IBM® Db2® Mirror for i is a continuous availability solution which offers the ability to keep database files synchronized between two nodes and can provide a recovery time objective close to zero.  When using BRMS in this environment, your backup solution runs independently on each of these two nodes.  When implementing your backup strategy, your replicated data only needs to be saved on one of the nodes instead of saving this data twice.  The non-replicated data needs to be saved independently on each node.  Since each Db2® Mirror customer solution is unique, BRMS does not provide a default set of control groups to use.  It is the customer responsibility to implement their own unique backup strategy using BRMS in this environment.
