Changing a Move Policy
Once a volume has a move policy associated with it, changing the move policy may not affect the volume's next movement. This is because the next move date is set at the time movement is run.
To change the move policy of a volume, do the following:
- Change the move policy of the volume(s) to *NONE
- Run movement, either using maintenance or
MOVMEDBRM
- Change the volume(s) to have the new move policy
- Run movement using maintenance or
MOVMEDBRM
