List Ordering with the BRMS GUI

List Ordering with the BRMS GUI

The BRMS GUI gives users the ability to select multiple entries in a list and move these entries as a single unit. Since new items are appended to the bottom of a list, reordering your list by moving blocks of entries at once is useful.

To move a group of selected items, check the selection box for a group of adjacent entries you want to move. Then click either the Move Up or Move Down buttons on the GUI and the list automatically reorders by placing the selected group entries into the space immediately above or immediately below the first unselected entry after the group.

Example

If you have a new library entry (Lib06), that should be backed up before other libraries in the list ManyLibs, you can change the order of the list to reflect this requirement by moving the group of libraries above it with the Move Down button.

  1. Select the list to work with:

  2. From the Actions drop down menu, select Manage Lists …

  3. Locate the list entry. Currently, it is the last entry in the list.

  4. Select the list items to move to below Lib06 and click Move Down.

  5. Lib06 has moved to the higher priority position in the list and the selected entries are appended below it.

The list now is ordered correctly.
