Global Mirror Target Flash

Global Mirror Target Flash

PowerHA now supports the creation of a target side FlashCopy of a global mirrored independent auxiliary storage pool (IASP) in a single command. The STRASPSSN with TYPE(*FLASHCOPY) can be used to create a FlashCopy of the target of a global mirrored IASP.

Previous to the addition of this support, the user would have to run a CHGASPSSN on the global mirror ASP session with option DETACH prior to running STRASPSSN to create the FlashCopy and then issue a CHGASPSSN OPTION(*REATTACH) to start global mirror replication after the FlashCopy has been created. PowerHA will now handle all of these steps in a single command.
